Description
The mythological stone "Raganos sostas" or Lapeliškiai stone is located 3 km southwest of Turmant, 30 m west of the old cemetery of Lapeliskii village. The stone is in the shape of a truncated cone, and in its upper part there is a recess called the "witch's throne". The name of the stone is interpreted in the way that in ancient times, when witches ruled the earth, they sat on it and sang beautifully - especially when young people passed by. The latter, charmed by their songs, would approach the stone, and the witches would then grab the young man and love him until the unfortunate man died.
